The title of this video animation refers to the idea of tentacularity, described by Donna Haraway as life lived along lines—and such a wealth of lines—not at points, not in spheres1.
Taking the static representation of networks as nodes and edges, the video animation narrates the evolution of network topologies—from centralised to distributed. It embodies the first rules co-created in a workshop with scientists, held during the project at Mutant Institute of Environmental Narratives.
